In a time sharing, i.e., child custody dispute the court must ordinarily establish a parenting plan that provides for time sharing that is in a child’s best interest and which provides for shared parenting.  Shared parenting means that both parents are responsible for the major decisions which affect a child.  In determining the best interest of a child, there is no presumption for or against the father or mother of the child when creating or modifying the parenting plan.
